Modern furniture world

The roots of modern style of furniture go back to the post-World War II period starting in the 1940’s and 1950’s. The change came when American consumers after the war found themselves with more positive outlooks, more modern outlook and desires, and more dollars to spend than any previous generation. The modern movement was nothing but about innovative, new, non-traditional looks, the use of new materials that created an atmosphere of sleekness and sophistication. A number of modern style trends came into existence during that period in those years, and many of those fashionable trends are seeing a resurgence in the 21st century.
